Indian Removal is a three-part exhibition series by artist Joe Harjo examining the historical and contemporary issues affecting Native American communities. For its final act, We Are a Wounding, I created a unified publication and exhibition identity rooted in the idea of removal. The concept became a physical act within the design, from a wounded publication cover to the deliberate removal of a portion of the exhibition title.
